Apparently. According to an Evertonian website, who seem to be talking with a sense of clarity and knowledge, Vaughan has impressed enough to secure a move to Fortress Carrow Road for a reported £750k (ish). Is he the first of Lamberts 7 or so players that are needed? Who knows.
A striker with plenty of years ahead of him, he meets the criteria of being hungry and domestic based, and while he isn’t likely to be high up a lot of fans wish lists, as ever, in Lambert we trust. His goalscoring record for Palace last season was 9 in 30 (and its worth remembering he was playing in a crap team), and he’s going to be a better player at the top level than Oli Johnson, Wilbraham and, in my opinon, Chris Martin, so as a signing it’s more about squad improvement than star signings.
According to a fella ‘in the know’, a fee has certainly been agreed and its just a case of terms. Until we get confirmation, this is the continued ramblings of a bored blogger desperately clinging onto the nutritious junk food of speculation to sate the unquenching thirst of the summer.
